Abstract

This study aimed to assess the levels of organochlorine pesticide (OCPs) and organophosphate (OPPs) residues in irish potato in Mangu local government of Plateau state. Liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) method was used for extraction of pesticides from irish potatoes from Mangu town, Ampang and Bwai and subjected to gas chromatography coupled to an electron capture detector (GC-ECD) for the detection and quantification of the pesticides.
